Full Year 2018 And 2019

                  From Fashion, to dance to art, the city was full of exciting events during November and december. Check out the highlights.

-One of the most eagerly awaited marketing events of the year, Brandweek filled Zorlu PSM to the brim from 5-9 November, 2018. Besides discussing trending topics during talks and workshops, the event also hosted a separate panel for gastronomy enthusiasts under the name 'Brandweek Gastro' for the first time in its history. In our opinion, the most exciting presentation this year-and the most shared on social media-belonged to Marcelo Pascoa, Burger King's Global Head of Brand Marketing.
-Coming to an end after an excitement-filled three weeks, the 22.İstanbul Theatre Festival proved yet again that, when it comes to impeccably-produced shows, İstanbulites will always find time to watch. Performances, taking place at Zorlu PSM between November 17 and Decembet 4 2018, included 10 international and 21 national premieres. The Guide İstanbul was completely blown away by Nocturnal Symposium the one and only performance by the Nederlands Dans Theater. Those who missed the festival will have the chance to see the performance at Zorlu PSM throughout the rest of the 2018 - 2019 season.

-Loved by celebrities around the world, Kısmet by Milka designer fine jewelry presents its tenth anniversary collection at its new showroom in Nişantaşı. Focusing on piercing jewelry, this special edition titled the 10th Eye is a redesign of the signature collection of the evil eye. The combination of colorful rare stones and symbolic shapes displays a strong representation of feminine power.

-İstanbul Modern's latest photography exhibition, Yıldız Moran; a Mountain tale, kicked off on November 24, 2018 and continues until May 12, 2019. Being Turkey's first academically trained female photographer, Moran captured landscapes, city scenes, and people of many different regions in Turkey. The limited space of the museum's temporary venue doesn't restrict the exhibition from impressing visitors with Moran's expressive black and white photographs.

-A platform for Turkey's new generation of artists, Base organized its second exhibition displaying selected works by recent fine art graduates between December 20 - 23, 2018 at the Galata Greek Primary School. Although applications were submitted withaut sticking to any particular theme, the exhibition categorized the concerns for Turkey's young artists into three sections, dream versus reality, home and immigration, and self identit. Hosting 94 artist and their works, plus 30 professional panels, the event not only showcased the diversity of emerging artists, but also sought to provide graduate students with better access to the creative industries.

-Aiming to trengthen the position of the country's fashion brands on the Turkish market, the Austrian Chamber of Commerce organized a fashion show for 12 of the most esteemed players on the Austrian fastion market. Taking place on November 6, 2018 at the historic mansion occupied by the Austrian Consulate in Yeniköy, the fashion show combined with a cocktail media influencers from Turkey, as well as potential buyers.
